Business Bulletin 1/2025
In the first Business Bulletin in 2025, we focused on topics that resonate repeatedly within our practice – the bill on the new law on cybersecurity is causing a great stir (also with regard to the costs of entities that can be expected in connection with it), but the amendment to the AML Act should not remain outside your attention, expanding not only the extent of obliged persons with obligatory information about the designation of a contact person, but also the extent of other information to be reported with it. The bill on the Competition Protection Act, which again expands the powers of the Czech Competition Office, is also in the legislative process. We have selected cases from the case law concerning the actionability of a body member in multiple jurisdictions, trademark case as well as the case related to the possibility for a legal entity to claim damages for injury to reputation.
